gaze动词“凝视”,例:She is a little bit short-sighted, so she has the habit of gazing at people.她有一点近视,所以她有一个凝视人的习惯。
peep动词“偷窥”,把ee想成一对眼睛,两边的p想成两个人,想象这样一个画面,一个人呢发现电视里播放着一些不堪入目的画面,而且还围着很的人,这显然是男生宿舍,这个人呢说“我不看,我不看”,但是他在后面拨开两个人,露出一对眼睛,这就叫“偷窥”。如Peeping Tom不守信约的人,在今天还表示“偷窥狂”的意思。
